Educate others!  Give a talk

Emulate the Archbishop of Canterbury, whose belief in the need for each of us to be better stewards of God's creation is reflected in his many public statements about the environment.

We would like to put together some standard slides for short talks, but have too much else on at the moment.  If anyone would like to create some talks from the above material, please do get in touch.

Some material to get people's attention!
Or you could show a film at your church, such as

Take action!  Do-it-yourself

For churches
For individuals - measure your footprint and commit to reducing it

Take action!  Campaigning

Get involved with the campaigns run by charities
Run or participate in election hustings
Write to your local councillor, MP, MEP, etc etc
  • You can find out who your councillors, MP and MEP are at Write to Them, and then write to them!  Easy!  The site also provides advice on who to contact for which issue, and on writing to members of the House of Lords.
  • They Work for You provides information on your MP's interests, speeches and voting records.
  • For official guidance on contacting MPs, Lords and Government, see the Parliament website.
  • There are plenty of useful tips on how to write out there, and these are worth following.
  • And don't forget that Bishop Michael sits in the House of Lords!
If you're feeling ambitious, you could respond to government consultations

Pray!

We're always looking for more material, so please contact us if you have some to share.
